Jubilee

Since the start of the year, I had so many plans for all the wonderful cakes and cookies that I was going to make for the Diamond Jubilee. And ... as these things pan out, we actually spent last week on a lovely family holiday and, guess what, suddenly the Jubilee is here.

Our neighbour came over with her daughter this afternoon and we watched the Jubilee flotilla together interspersed with a little cake decorating by Iz, aged three and Ame, aged four. These are the cakes they decorated with diamonds and much excitement to be enjoyed at the Village's Jubilee tea party tomorrow.

I'm also hoping to have a layer cake ready for the party tomorrow, we'll see!
